About the position

The Technical Project Manager at Cambridge International Systems, Inc. is responsible for overseeing Mission-Critical Facility Design and Construction projects for a Navy Customer. This role requires a current DoD Top Secret security clearance and involves managing project budgets, quality assurance programs, and staffing plans while acting as a technical liaison with vendors. The Project Manager will ensure project objectives are met and will be involved in all phases of project development from concept to implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain aggressive efforts to achieve project objectives.
  • Act as a technical liaison with vendors.
  • Assist in the proposal process and coordinate with the Pricing Department when required.
  • Manage all phases of the project budget.
  • Develop Quality Assurance Programs for products and services.
  • Prepare Staffing Plans, including skill and labor mix, to support contract operations.
  • Recruit, interview, and hire staff as needed.
  • Oversee the performance of small technical projects or portions of larger programs according to contract requirements.
  • Direct and supervise all support resources for project assignments and activities.
  • Manage the technical direction of projects through design, implementation, and testing.
  • Acquire follow-on business associated with assigned projects and support new business development.
  • Provide a single point of contact for assigned projects and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct project meetings and manage project tracking and analysis.
  • Manage the integration of vendor tasks and review vendor deliverables.
  • Provide technical and analytical guidance to the project team.
  • Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.

Requirements

  • Must possess an active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 8 - 10 years of experience or a Master's with 6 - 8 years of experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a relevant role.
  • Proficient in using different technologies such as computers and other tools pertinent to the position.
  • Experience supervising and coordinating the work of assigned staff.
