About the position

The Technical Project Manager at OCH Technologies LLC is responsible for overseeing a long-term government project, ensuring compliance with government regulations and CMMI Level 3 processes. This role requires a strong technical background and proven project management skills, with a focus on effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The position is remote and full-time, emphasizing leadership in project planning and execution, as well as fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the technical project team throughout the software modernization effort, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
  • Implement and maintain Scrum-based Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and CMMI Level 3 processes.
  • Utilize the Atlassian Suite and JIRA for project tracking, resource allocation, and reporting.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including government representatives, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
  • Collaborate with technical leads to develop and maintain project plans, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and reporting requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate communication between technical team members and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts as needed.
  • Contribute to proposal writing and identify opportunities for organic growth within the project scope.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to the project, recommending innovations when appropriate.
  • Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of project management experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing government contracts or projects.
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • 2+ years of experience with JIRA and other project management tools.
  • Knowledge of Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).
  • PMI Project Management Professional certification.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Level security clearance.
