About the position

Methodica Technologies is seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Project Manager to join our Customer Technology team in Southfield, MI. This role is crucial for managing projects that enhance functionality within HRIS systems such as SuccessFactors, Workforce Software, and OpenText. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in managing complex technical projects, a deep understanding of HRIS systems, and exceptional leadership and communication skills. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of HRIS solutions that align with the strategic goals of the HR department. In this position, you will develop and manage detailed project plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation necessary for project success. You will coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams to ensure that HRIS solutions are delivered on time and within budget. Identifying project risks and developing effective mitigation strategies will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will also gather and document project requirements from stakeholders, ensuring that all project activities align with business goals. Regular communication regarding project status, progress, and any changes will be essential to keep all stakeholders informed. Additionally, you will drive the implementation of new HRIS solutions, overseeing system configuration, data migration, and integration with existing systems. Collaborating closely with technical teams will be necessary to ensure seamless integration and data accuracy. Quality assurance will also fall under your purview, as you will develop and execute testing plans to confirm that HRIS solutions meet both functional and technical requirements. Your ability to identify and resolve issues during the testing phase will be critical to the overall success of the projects you manage.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and lead cross-functional project teams to deliver HRIS solutions on time.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
  • Gather and document project requirements from stakeholders and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Communicate project status, progress, and changes to stakeholders regularly.
  • Drive and support the implementation of new HRIS solutions, including system configuration, data migration, and integration with existing systems.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure seamless integration and data accuracy.
  • Develop and execute testing plans to ensure HRIS solutions meet functional and technical requirements.
  • Identify and resolve issues or discrepancies during the testing phase.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management with a focus on HRIS or related systems.
  • Proven experience managing complex technical projects and working with HR departments.
  • Strong understanding of HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP).
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira) and basic knowledge of databases and integration technologies.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, manage competing priorities, and drive project success.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing project challenges.
