SSR Total IT is a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) in the Milwaukee metro area dedicated to delivering innovative IT solutions to our diverse clientele. We provide comprehensive IT services, including infrastructure management, cloud services, cybersecurity, and technical support. We seek a highly skilled and motivated Technical Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, exceptional project management skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality IT solutions to clients. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of technical concepts, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans that outline stages, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Lead and manage multiple concurrent technical projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope and budget.
• Work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Own budgeting and billing true-up as part of project closure.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and changes to ensure successful delivery.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered to the highest quality standards and meet client expectations.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design, implement, and support IT solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members as needed.
• Monitor and report on project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical/business field. Multiple years of relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of a Degree.
• 4+ years of experience in project management leadership and facilitation.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud services, and cybersecurity.
• Excellent project management skills, including managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello).
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certification is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Nice-to-haves

• Project Management certifications.
• Proven experience in one or more of the following areas: IT Services, Manufacturing, Healthcare.
• Familiarity with project management software (Microsoft Project, JIRA, Wrike).
• Proficiency in workflow mapping and calendar scheduling tools.
• Understanding fundamental business principles, including revenue, cost, billing, scheduling, resource allocations, and client relationships.
