About the position

The Technical Project Manager will lead and collaborate with a cross-functional team to estimate efforts and create project execution plans. This role involves tracking project scope, quality, and ensuring delivery according to commitments while fostering a collaborative work environment. The manager will also mentor team members and drive process improvements, leveraging industry standards to enhance project outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and collaborate with a cross-functional team for efforts estimation and create project execution plans.
  • Track planned vs actual project metrics in terms of scope and quality, making necessary course corrections.
  • Benchmark best practices and drive productivity improvements in verification and validation processes.
  • Ensure delivery of projects as per commitments.
  • Coach and mentor a team of architects, business analysts, designers, developers, and verification engineers.
  • Conduct technical design reviews to ensure adherence to architecture.
  • Drive requirements-driven testing with 100% traceability of requirements, development, testing, and defects.
  • Report project status weekly to stakeholders to avoid surprises.
  • Follow established policies and procedures, including change control and project management methodologies.
  • Manage changes to the project effectively through change management processes.
  • Document existing processes, identify gaps, design new processes, and develop performance measures for process transitions.
  • Develop standard processes, procedures, and documentation based on industry standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project management within the IT industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and coach team members.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in managing project scope, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and change control processes.
  • Ability to analyze and improve existing processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with supply chain operations and IT development teams.
  • Knowledge of verification and validation processes in software development.
