About the position

The Technical Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery within a software development consultancy. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget, while directly impacting the success of the company's products and services. The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients, utilizing Agile methodologies to manage the software development lifecycle, and continuously improving project management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Managing complex technical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including internal software engineering teams and external clients to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Utilizing Scrum and other Agile methodologies to manage the software development lifecycle.
  • Conducting requirements analysis to identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and with external clients, providing regular updates on project status and facilitating problem-solving discussions.
  • Continuously improving project management processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Balancing business needs with technical constraints, making critical decisions to ensure project success.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (preferred, not required).
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in managing complex technical projects, preferably in custom software.
  • Strong knowledge of software development and software engineering principles.
  • Demonstrated experience with Scrum and other Agile methodologies.
  • Proven ability to conduct thorough requirements analysis and business analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a track record of overcoming project obstacles.
  • PMP, CAPM, or other project management certification is preferred.
