About the position

The Technical Project Manager will lead a team of analysts and developers to build end-to-end business solutions for a leading healthcare provider in the US. This role requires a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The position involves project leadership, technical guidance, stakeholder management, risk management, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the development team, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Utilize technical background to understand project requirements and provide guidance to the team.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and transparency.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee the quality assurance process to ensure deliverables meet required standards.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Ensure comprehensive project documentation, including project plans and status reports.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.

Requirements

  • Strong background and deep understanding of the healthcare industry.
  • Strong background in data management and data warehousing projects, with familiarity with ETL tools, preferably Ab Initio.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project).
  • Working knowledge of UNIX systems and databases (e.g., DB2, Postgres).
  • Minimum 10 years of IT industry experience, including application system design and implementation.
  • Experience in managing ETL and data warehousing projects.
  • Experience in managing projects that handle PHI and PII.

Nice-to-haves
