Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for freight and transit rail. The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will play a crucial role in advocating for Wabtec with customers while also representing the customer's interests within the company. The TPM's primary objective is to provide customer-valued service as outlined in established service support agreements. This position requires collaboration with various internal groups, including Product Engineering, Product Line Management, Sales, Contracts Management, and Release Management, to ensure that customer needs are met effectively. In this role, the TPM will work closely with customers to identify top priority items and initiatives, championing these items by coordinating and facilitating analysis and issue resolution with internal cross-functional product support and field service teams. The TPM will maintain, communicate, and update the status of action items for all maintenance activities or triage efforts, ensuring that action items are closed out to the customer's satisfaction. Additionally, the TPM will track and report all performance metrics related to PTC (Positive Train Control) and prepare/present performance reports and project status to stakeholders and senior management as required. The TPM will also manage the contract budget, cost, and revenue using Clarity, ensuring that resources are available to meet customer and performance requirements. Participation in discussions about the future of the Services contract will require interaction with other functions, including Sales, Commercial Operations, Contract Management, and Legal. The TPM will be involved in the development of proposals and executive deal reviews for projects, promoting and implementing value-added maintenance service offerings to enhance the value of contracts. This role requires managing complex processes that involve many stakeholders both internally and externally, and the TPM will communicate with peers on top issues and initiatives, opportunities for improvement, and other relevant information.
