About the position

The Technical Project Manager at ASSA ABLOY will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of critical cybersecurity projects within the Americas Shared Services Cybersecurity Department. This role involves project planning and management, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification. The position requires effective communication with stakeholders and regular updates to the management team, all while working onsite at the Americas Headquarters in New Haven, CT.

Responsibilities

• Determine and define clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for technical team members required for specific projects or initiatives.
• Manage projects to ensure adherence to timeline, budget, and scope.
• Hold regular technical team meetings to collect and document project task updates, determine progress, and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.
• Create management and communication plans and processes.
• Analyze and develop procedures for management and technical duties.
• Maintain project time frames, budget estimates, and status reports.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3 to 5 years of IT Project Management experience.
• Professional Project Management Certificate from an accredited institution preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods.
• Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making.
• Ability to predict challenges and proactively head-off obstacles.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to the business and vice versa.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact courteously and professionally with all levels.

Nice-to-haves
