About the position

We are seeking skilled Technical Project Managers to join our client's team in long-term contract roles. These positions are hybrid, requiring three days onsite and two days remote in Milwaukee, WI. Candidates must be within commuting distance to downtown Milwaukee, specifically from the Southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois area. The ideal candidate will oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of technical projects from initiation to completion. This role requires a strong understanding of project management methodologies and technical expertise. As a Technical Project Manager, you will manage the full project lifecycle, which includes defining project scope, goals, and deliverables. You will develop detailed project plans and schedules, coordinate resources both internal and external for project execution, and track project progress while reporting on status to stakeholders. Ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget is crucial, as is implementing and managing project changes and interventions to achieve desired outputs. You will also conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies, lead project meetings, and provide regular updates to team members.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full project lifecycle, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Develop detailed project plans and schedules

  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

Requirements

  • 6+ years of proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or similar role; prefer certified PMPs.
  • Experience with infrastructure project management a plus
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, SDLC, SAFe, Scrum, as well as Jira and Excel.
  • Proficiency in release management processes
  • Ability to vaticinate potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Experience in program management and project implementation
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
