About the position
These leaders are responsible for managing the entire project life cycle, from assisting in system requirements to deploying the finished solution. They report directly to the Chief Technology Officer and will manage the efforts of a group of Developers, Team Leads, and Architects.
Responsibilities
- Manage 2 to 3 simultaneous projects, on-time and within budget
- Efficient planning of sequential project steps
- Manage the workflow of project teams, ensuring proper workloads
- Assist Business Development team in presales efforts
- Assist Team Leads with their management responsibilities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or related field); Master's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the software development domain
- 3+ years software development/programming experience, including object oriented design in Java, C# or C++
- At least 2+ years of experience leading a project-based development team
- Strong knowledge of programming and database concepts
- Excellent knowledge of source control, build and deployment processes
- Ability to direct the efforts of software and QA engineers, Team Leads, and Architects at various levels
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently, with heavy client contact
- Ability to understand technical issues and processes and be able to communicate the same in non-technical terms
