About the position

DISH, an EchoStar Company, is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our innovative team in the Denver area. This role is pivotal in driving our new Wireless venture, where we aim to deliver creative solutions that disrupt the industry. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and driving agile technical deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders and technical resources. Your expertise will be essential in managing feature delivery, change management, and roadmap strategy, ensuring that our projects align with customer needs and objectives. In this position, you will determine and maintain project timelines, lead program scoping with product, architecture, and stakeholders, and ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions. You will analyze and mitigate project risks, identify and track dependencies, and maintain a schedule that efficiently delivers key components based on these timelines. Clear communication is crucial, as you will prepare reports on initiative statuses and communicate the progress of monthly and quarterly initiatives to stakeholders. Your role will also involve iteratively improving intake and execution processes, actively managing product value, usability, feasibility, and business risks. Post-launch, you will measure the effectiveness of product releases and iterate on product outcomes, using a prioritization framework for the discovery of backlog features. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and drive agile technical deliverables with key stakeholders and technical resources.

  • Determine and maintain project timelines.
  • Lead program scoping with product, architecture, and stakeholders for alignment on delivery.
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Analyze and mitigate project risks.
  • Identify and track dependencies and maintain a schedule that efficiently delivers key components based on dependency timelines.
  • Communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to stakeholders.
  • Prepare reports on initiative statuses.
  • Iteratively improve intake and execution processes.
  • Actively manage product value, usability, feasibility, and business risks.
  • Measure the effectiveness of product releases post-launch and iterate on product outcomes.
  • Use a prioritization framework for the discovery of backlog features.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in a technical or business discipline (information systems, engineering, computer science, finance, business administration, or accounting).
  • 4 years of Program or Project Manager experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience using Agile processes and methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational, facilitation, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivation with strong, proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional resources and work well in a distributed environment.
  • Ability to plan for future work while maintaining current delivery with rapidly changing priorities.
