About the position

The Technical Project Manager at Wider Circle will oversee various projects and initiatives across multiple teams, including engineering, IT, security, DevOps, data engineering, data science, and analytics. This role involves managing project schedules, facilitating communication among stakeholders, tracking budgets, and reporting on project progress. The ideal candidate will have a technical background to engage in discussions and assist with hands-on tasks, ensuring projects align with organizational goals and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project timelines, task assignments, milestones, and deliverables across various teams.
  • Create, maintain, and update project schedules and Gantt charts to ensure timely completion.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams and third-party vendors, managing communications and alignment.
  • Prepare and deliver regular status updates, performance reports, and risk assessments for stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, handling scheduling, deliverables, and budgets.
  • Track project expenses and budget adherence, forecasting costs, and reporting on budget health.
  • Assist with technical tasks, configurations, or troubleshooting as needed.
  • Proactively identify and address project risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies and enforce best practices for Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Ensure all projects comply with healthcare industry regulations and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to set up dashboards and reporting metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in technical project management, preferably within healthcare or a highly regulated industry.
  • Certifications in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) or technical fields (e.g., CompTIA, AWS Certified) are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Familiarity with engineering, IT infrastructure, security principles, DevOps practices, and data science workflows.
  • Ability to perform and assist with technical tasks across various tech stacks, including cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experienced in using project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello) for task tracking and reporting.
  • Budgeting skills to create, track, and manage project costs and resource allocation.
  • Understanding of healthcare data compliance regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and interoperability standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience negotiating and managing vendor/third-party contracts and budgets.
