About the position

As a Technical Project Manager at InRhythm, you will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing client relationships while overseeing the successful delivery of projects. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of the digital landscape, strong client-relationship skills, and the ability to recommend growth strategies that will positively impact the bottom line. Your primary goal will be to grow existing accounts by fostering a dynamic, long-term management partnership with our clients through referrals and exceptional customer service. In your day-to-day activities, you will communicate directly with client stakeholders, track key performance metrics, lead project teams, manage timelines and budgets, allocate resources, develop organizational charts, and create strategic roadmaps. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for keeping the operations team fully updated on all feedback from clients and ensuring adherence to client expectations. You will assign team members to specific tasks within projects and deploy resources as needed to support client engagements under your management. Regular team meetings will be held to review current work, and you will report to senior management on the performance of the InRhythm team and customer relations. Your responsibilities will include managing relationships among key partners, utilizing roadmaps and project plans to oversee all delivery activities, conducting progress reviews, and providing timely and accurate reporting of project statuses to stakeholders. You will also develop and deliver necessary presentations and documentation to all levels of the organization, drive operational excellence, and collaborate effectively with sales and client stakeholders to ensure seamless engagement support. Additionally, you will serve as a critical point of contact for customers, internalize client-centric requirements, and manage resource requests across clients while advising on resource management processes. This role requires a proactive approach to optimize utilization and resource planning across the organization, ensuring that all teams are focused on meeting the company's margins and utilization metrics. You will also maintain relationships with key practice, client, and industry leaders to maximize deployment opportunities for InRhythm engineers and escalate sensitive staffing situations as necessary. Your ability to maintain one-on-one relationships with InRhythm engineers and consultants will be crucial in understanding their goals and preferences, providing deployment-related consulting and coaching.

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships amongst key partners by building confidence and trust with clear communications on all management levels and assured expectation management.
  • Utilize roadmaps, project plans, and schedules to oversee all activities within delivery.
  • Conduct progress reviews to assess project outcomes and build confidence that projects will deliver to time, budget, and agreed standards.
  • Provide timely, consistent, and accurate reporting of the status of initiatives to stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver necessary presentations including supporting documentation to all levels throughout the organization.
  • Drive operational excellence while ensuring the successful delivery of projects against strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate effectively with sales and externally with client stakeholders to provide seamless engagement support to the business.
  • Serve as a critical point of contact for the customer and act as an escalation point for any consultant issues/engagement issues.
  • Internalize client-centric requirements, while meeting with account executives to understand exact needs, and take the lead in getting the strategic resourcing completed.
  • Own and manage resource requests across clients by validating requirements, searching for internal candidates, and presenting candidates for consideration in parallel with the talent acquisition team.
  • Advise recruiting, account managers, sales, and executive leadership on how best to engage in the resource management processes, and make recommendations for improved outcomes.
  • Collaborate with recruiting and operations teams to provide a smooth onboarding and first-deployment experience to our new hires.
  • Create burn reports and provide financial data to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Understand, internalize client-centric requirements, meet with practice head, account exec to understand exact needs and take the lead in getting the right teams in the right seats.
  • Optimize utilization and resource planning across the organization by making staffing decisions in support of the deployment strategy for the business or practice area, including new teams and those on the bench.
  • Understand margins and utilization across the company and be in the position to ensure that all teams are focused and filling the needs with these two metrics.
  • Utilize all available RM tools and resources to identify candidates and develop creative staffing solutions for open resource requests and open projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key practice, client and industry leaders, and leverage these relationships to maximize deployment opportunities for InRhythm engineers.
  • Escalate sensitive or high-risk staffing situations to HR and executive leadership, as appropriate.
  • Actively maintain one-on-one relationships with InRhythm engineers and consultants in order to develop a detailed understanding of their goals and preferences, as well as to provide deployment-related consulting and coaching.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Project Management, Resource Management, Consultant Operations for a Professional Services Organization.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Experience in Software (Web/Mobile/Cloud) Application project management.
  • History of managing people-based consulting engagements within Fortune 500 enterprise accounts, resource management, and an understanding of people-based consulting solutions.
  • Strong experience managing client issue resolution.
  • Strong critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution skills, including the ability to negotiate and influence others.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks appropriately.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with large teams.
  • Ability to manage confidential information appropriately and professionally.
  • Strong competency in core professional skills, especially, attention to detail, responsiveness, follow-through, flexibility, initiative, and tact.
  • BA or BS undergraduate degree. A Master's Degree is nice to have.
