About the position

The Technical Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and driving the successful completion of various technical projects within the organization. With over 10 years of project management experience, the individual will be responsible for managing project timelines, ensuring on-time delivery, and effectively handling scope creep. The role requires a strong technical background, particularly in SQL, Python, and Tableau, to facilitate effective project management in a technical environment. The Technical Project Manager will provide regular status reports to stakeholders, engage in risk assessment and mitigation activities, and lead kickoff meetings and recurring project touchpoints. In this position, the Technical Project Manager will serve as the initial point of project escalation, demonstrating the ability to recognize when to escalate issues to higher management. The individual will align and track project resources and tasks, ensuring that all team members are effectively collaborating towards project goals. A strong partnership with the Solutions Architect and Development team is essential, as well as collaboration with other delivery team members to ensure seamless project execution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn from team members, and exceptional attention to detail. Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills are crucial for navigating the complexities of project management. The Technical Project Manager will also need to demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills, along with the ability to build relationships and collaborate cross-functionally. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to present a polished and professional image to all stakeholders, ensuring that project objectives are clearly communicated and understood.

Responsibilities

• Drive timelines and aim for on-time delivery with successful completion of all in scope project work.
• Effectively manage scope creep.
• Provide regular status reports to stakeholders.
• Engage in risk assessment and risk mitigation activities.
• Own and host kickoff meetings and recurring touch points during the project.
• Set meeting agendas and provide appropriate follow-up communications.

Requirements

• 10+ years of project manager experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business, Information Technology, or any related field.
• Experience with SQL, Python, and Tableau in a technical project management context.
