About the position

CoreWeave is seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Technical Project Manager with expertise in data center deployment. This role involves leading multiple simultaneous data center projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data center infrastructure and strong project management skills, with the flexibility to work remotely and travel to various project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the full lifecycle of multiple simultaneous data center deployment projects, including design, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover to operations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and collaboration across all parties involved.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively, ensuring that all project phases are adequately staffed and equipped to meet fast-paced timelines.
  • Identify potential project risks, create mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues to minimize disruptions to project timelines.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans, ensuring projects are delivered within agreed contractual constraints.
  • Ensure that all data center deployments meet technical and quality standards, including compliance with industry best practices and local regulations.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design documents, and give regular progress reports.
  • Provide technical guidance in collaboration with experts to teams on best practices for data center design and deployment.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance data center operations.
  • Travel to up to 25% of data center locations to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in data center deployment or infrastructure project implementation or technical project management in data centers.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex technical projects from initiation to completion.
  • In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling systems.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and propose innovative solutions.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as TIA-942, Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, data center compliance requirements, security protocols, and risk management practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or relevant experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with high-performance compute environments and GPU technologies.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL, CDCP, CDCS, or similar).
