About the position

The Technical Project Manager will play a crucial role in driving Apple's Supplier Carbon Solutions team, focusing on transitioning the global supply chain to renewable energy and reducing carbon footprints. This position requires a blend of project management skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders. The role emphasizes building internal processes, developing tools for greenhouse gas inventory, and fostering collaboration across various teams to achieve sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

  • Build and develop internal business processes to enable programmatic scale and efficiency.
  • Drive and lead efforts in annual supply chain wide collection of Greenhouse Gas inventory, the construction of new tools/platforms, and annual reporting/compliance requirements.
  • Develop the tools needed to build supply chain capacity needed to address GHG emission profiles and options for reducing carbon footprints.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional Apple teams (supplier development, data and systems, Environment+Policy).
  • Build consensus among internal and external stakeholders in support of new, innovative tools and system development.
  • Clearly communicate to non-technical or non-environmental audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and communicate technical information concisely to a non-technical audience.

  • Self-motivated, pro-active, and a self-starter, with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Broad understanding of various renewable energy technologies, including engineering, economic and policy factors.
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, economics/business, or other technical/data fields.
  • Advanced degree in project management or management science with 3+ years of professional experience is a plus.
