About the position

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional technical teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high quality. This role involves engaging with various stakeholders to prioritize tasks, manage project documentation, and resolve issues effectively while adhering to project management standards.

Responsibilities

• Engage with cross-functional technical and product management teams to prioritize tasks and clarify tradeoffs.
• Create and monitor active work, backlog, priorities, and risks for team members and stakeholders.
• Provide advice to business partners on options for accomplishing requested projects.
• Manage project documentation and report on project status, backlog, and resources.
• Resolve and escalate issues in a timely manner.
• Implement, measure, and report on key performance indicators and maintain project dashboards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
• At least 3 years of project coordination or management experience in IT and/or software development projects.
• Advanced skills in using common business tool sets such as MS Project.
• Ability to translate technical concepts to peers, management, and customers.
• Ability to influence others and build effective relationships within the organization.
• Experience working within multiple SDLC methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
• Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising technical teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Project Management Institute (PMI) certification.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
• Understanding of release and change management fundamentals.
