About the position

The Technology Project Manager is responsible for planning, leading, and delivering technology projects and solutions at Roadrunner Freight. This role involves collaboration with technology and business stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and vendors to ensure effective communication and execution of tasks, ultimately delivering value-added solutions to customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Define and gain consensus on feature scope and objectives, create work plans, facilitate standup and status meetings, and ensure continuous alignment across project team members and leaders.
• Work with Business Analysts, Developers, and QA team members to design business solutions by applying the right technology; document business processes and requirements with the project team.
• Define, monitor, and report key project success factors and provide regular updates to leadership.
• Assist in establishing, enabling, and improving project management and software development methodologies, procedures, and policies.
• Coordinate with 3rd party software vendors to ensure delivery of projects.

Requirements

• At least 5-7 years of experience in leading large-scale software development or system implementation efforts using a standard software development lifecycle approach.
• Knowledge of common Project Management and Software Development Methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, DevOps) and understanding the strengths and weaknesses of each methodology.
• Experience with Microsoft DevOps, Atlassian Jira, or similar project tracking software and ability to create reporting/dashboarding to track project status.
• Understanding of key technologies (SQL Server, Webservices, Mobile Applications, Cloud Capabilities) and ability to assist in defining viability of 3rd party vendor solutions.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as presentation and facilitation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
