About the position

As a Technical Project Manager at Serigor Inc, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the successful execution and delivery of IT projects while adhering to client standard methodologies. Your role will involve utilizing agile project management principles and tools such as DevOps and Jira to manage projects effectively. You will collaborate closely with technical teams, interface with clients, develop status reports, and manage deployments and production issues. Your expertise in database management using SQL Server, software development with the .NET framework, systems integration, and data conversion will be crucial as you guide technical teams throughout the project lifecycle. In addition to project execution, you will continuously assess and evaluate the effectiveness of current project management processes. You will provide recommendations for improvement by incorporating industry best practices and lessons learned. Managing multiple small to large complex projects will be a key responsibility, ensuring they are executed efficiently within established timelines and budgets. You will assign work to project team members based on their skills and expertise, monitor progress, and adjust priorities as necessary. Your role will also involve identifying and escalating critical issues to executives, providing thorough analysis and recommendations to ensure timely resolution. You will provide strong technical leadership and direction to the project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Effective communication of project goals, expectations, and strategies to team members will be essential. Utilizing client standard methodologies and the Project Management Methodology (PMM) throughout the project lifecycle, you will ensure that project activities align with established guidelines. You will develop and maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and compose correspondence related to project activities, including creating meeting agendas and transcribing meeting minutes. Scheduling staff assignments, setting work priorities, and directing the efforts of assigned employees, including contractual staff, will also be part of your responsibilities. Staying abreast of emerging project management techniques, tools, and methodologies will be vital as you seek opportunities to incorporate new approaches that can improve project outcomes, efficiency, and effectiveness. You will coordinate projects running simultaneously or sequentially to ensure collaboration and communication between project functions, fostering cross-functional collaboration and facilitating knowledge sharing among teams.

Responsibilities

• Utilize agile project management principles and tools like DevOps and Jira to manage projects.
• Collaborate closely with technical teams, interface with clients, develop status reports, and manage deployments and production issues.
• Demonstrate experience and proficiency in database management using SQL Server, software development using the .NET framework, systems integration, and data conversion.
• Continuously assess and evaluate the effectiveness of current project management processes and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Manage and oversee multiple small to large complex projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and within established timelines and budgets.
• Assign work to project team members based on their skills, expertise, and availability.
• Establish project priorities, objectives, and procedures while considering area objectives, service targets, and resource allocation needs.
• Identify and escalate critical issues and decisions to executives when necessary, providing thorough analysis, recommendations, and solutions.
• Provide strong technical leadership and direction to the project team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience supervising or overseeing IT-related programs or projects.
• Certification in Project Management, Agile, or a similar qualification.
• Strong experience with Agile delivery methods is required.
• Familiarity with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is preferred.
• Experience in managing large-scale software implementations is preferred.
• Proven track record of being results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to set and achieve aggressive goals.

Nice-to-haves

• A Master's degree and/or project management certification is preferred.
• Experience in a highly technical environment is essential.
