About the position

The Technical Project Manager will play a crucial role in managing Application Support, Operations, and Maintenance for a government client at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This position involves overseeing software maintenance, end-user support, application administration, and the integration of advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The role requires a strong background in IT project management, particularly in agile development, and a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Application Support, Operations, and Maintenance for the government client.
  • Oversee software maintenance and end-user support.
  • Administer applications and databases, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
  • Lead the development and integration of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning systems.
  • Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards, including FISMA and Section 508.
  • Coordinate with contractors to ensure performance in agile development and software projects.
  • Utilize various technologies and platforms, including Oracle, SQL Server, and various application development languages.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer or information systems sciences; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of overall IT project management experience.
  • Extensive experience in IT project management with a focus on agile development.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and cloud technologies.
  • Experience as a government contractor professional.
  • Familiarity with HHS Agency For Healthcare Research and Quality (AHQR).
  • Understanding of Scrum ban Agile within the Enterprise Performance Management Life Cycle (EPLC) governance model.
  • Experience with routine and event-driven corrective maintenance.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP or CSM certification preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle 19c, SQL Server 2016, and various desktop environments.
  • Familiarity with application server platforms and development tools.
