About the position

As a Technical Project Manager at Alembic, you will be instrumental in managing the product development lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams and serve as a Scrum Master, facilitating communication between technical and non-technical teams. This role requires a strong technical background and project management expertise, as well as a passion for building high-quality software.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the product development process by defining project scope, timelines, and resource allocation in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Translate designs into detailed technical specifications and work with engineers to estimate development effort.
  • Create and maintain project plans to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Execute and track development by building out project tasks in a ticketing system for real-time tracking and progress visibility.
  • Plan and manage product development timelines, report on project status, and identify potential roadblocks.
  • Actively participate in development with engineering teams, providing guidance and support.
  • Serve as Scrum Master and quality assurance champion, facilitating communication between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Own the project task board and work closely with the QA team to ensure a smooth development workflow.
  • Advocate for exceptional quality assurance practices and seek opportunities to improve the product development process.
  • Continuously assess and implement ways to streamline and optimize the product development process.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical program management or software development role.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC and a passion for building high-quality software.
  • Deep familiarity with Agile and/or Lean methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage product development processes effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication and clear writing skills.
  • Strong understanding of project management best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and ticketing systems.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, QA).
  • Self-starter with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload.

  • Technical background or prior experience working on highly technical products.
