About the position

The Technical Project Manager at ASSA ABLOY will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of critical cybersecurity projects within the Americas Shared Services Cybersecurity Department. This role involves ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification, while also providing regular updates to the management team. The position requires strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate with technical teams effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Determine and define clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for technical team members required for specific projects or initiatives.
  • Manage projects to ensure adherence to timeline, budget, and scope.
  • Hold regular technical team meetings to collect and document project task updates, determine progress, and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.
  • Create management and communication plans and processes.
  • Analyze and develop procedures for management and technical duties.
  • Maintain project time frames, budget estimates, and status reports.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of IT Project Management experience.
  • Professional Project Management Certificate from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods.
  • Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making.
  • Ability to predict challenges and proactively address obstacles.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain digital concepts to business stakeholders and vice versa.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels.
  • Unquestionable ethics with proven ability to handle confidential information.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and exhibit a strong sense of urgency.
