About the position

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing client projects from onboarding through completion, ensuring that project timelines and priorities are managed efficiently. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams to meet client needs and deliver high-quality results. The position also involves managing project scope, facilitating communication between team members and clients, and utilizing project management tools like Asana to track progress and ensure deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates client projects from client onboarding and project planning through completion
  • Manages project timelines and priorities efficiently
  • Works with the Account Managers to ensure that the client project team meets deadlines on time while meeting the defined strategy and goals of their clients
  • Manages the process and scope for projects, including client requests, feedback consolidation, internal and client routing, gathering approvals, and pushing through to production and/or internal teams
  • Masters the use of Asana, effectively and autonomously assigns out tasks to the proper team members
  • Ensures quality control of final client deliverables to ensure client satisfaction, troubleshoot problems as needed
  • Ensures internal project teams have all the assets and information they need in order to do their work successfully
  • Serves as the primary connection between Account Managers and project team members to execute client needs and/or respond to concerns in a timely manner
  • Creates and maintains open lines of communication with the Account Manager, project team members, and strategists to ensure a shared understanding of scope fulfillment status while also flagging task delays when necessary
  • Communicates with clients through Asana, providing notification of project updates and requesting assets and approvals

Requirements

  • Exceptional organizational skills, multitasking capabilities, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and effectively organize and prioritize responsibilities
  • High levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation
  • Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Highly competent in using Google Suites, specifically advanced Google Sheets and Google Slides skills
  • Record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to closure
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Experience or understanding of project management theories and how to apply them
  • Interpersonal skills to positively collaborate with team members
  • Friendly and easygoing, comfortable in a virtual working environment
  • Must be able to work at a computer for prolonged periods

Nice-to-haves

  • Asana experience is preferred
  • Adobe Suite, JavaScript, HTML, PHP, Drupal, WordPress, and SEO understanding and/or experience are a plus
  • Previous web marketing experience is preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in the higher education space is preferred
