About the position

The Technical Project Manager will serve as the onshore project manager for a Databricks and Power BI program at Alnylam. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to effectively communicate with business users and IT leaders, ensuring that their requirements are understood and relayed to the offshore team. The successful candidate will have a high-level understanding of the Data and Business Intelligence (BI) landscape, particularly with Databricks and Power BI, which will enable them to facilitate discussions and drive demonstrations of Power BI reports. In this position, the Technical Project Manager will be responsible for tracking project milestones, resolving functional and technical blockers, and managing timelines to ensure project success. They will conduct Power BI report demonstrations, gather feedback from stakeholders, and collaborate with the offshore team to implement necessary adjustments. Experience working in an onshore-offshore model across different time zones is essential, as is proven experience in managing multiple Data and BI projects. The role also requires a strong understanding of Agile methodology, as the Technical Project Manager will manage projects within an Agile framework. Experience in the life sciences or pharmaceutical sector is considered a plus, as it will provide valuable context for the projects being managed. Additionally, the candidate should possess strong presentation skills to effectively communicate program accomplishments to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the onshore project manager for the Databricks and Power BI program.
• Communicate effectively with business users and IT leaders to understand their requirements.

Requirements

• Strong business communication skills to interact with users and IT leaders.

• Mandatory understanding of SQL and data analysis skills.
