The Technical Project Manager at Zoetis is a pivotal role that requires a strong background in hardware or electrical engineering. This position is responsible for forming and leading project teams, developing comprehensive project plans that align with the overall objectives, and managing multiple project activities in accordance with established project management practices. The projects handled by the Technical Project Manager include New Product Introductions (NPI) in Diagnostics and BioDevice sectors, as well as manufacturability assessments for Business Development deals and OEM products. The role emphasizes the importance of executing projects safely, on time, and within budget constraints. In this role, the Technical Project Manager will lead up to five projects simultaneously, each with medium complexity. Responsibilities include delivering a portfolio of new products by leading co-development and launch teams, providing project leadership, and conducting manufacturability reviews for business development initiatives. The manager will coordinate site teams to develop project plans that support the lifecycle of instruments, ensuring that projects are prioritized effectively within the GMS teams. Additionally, the Technical Project Manager will be responsible for planning and budgeting the necessary resources to execute projects on schedule, while also developing and maintaining global project management best practices. The position requires frequent reporting to senior management on project progress, highlighting any areas of concern or support needed to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion. The Technical Project Manager will act as a technical liaison to both internal and external sites, as well as with external suppliers or device components. Collaboration with other team leaders to share technical knowledge across supported businesses is also a key aspect of this role. Furthermore, the manager will work closely with US, International, and EU Regulatory groups to develop and execute strategies for filing, defending, and launching new products.
