About the position

The IT Technical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of IT Application projects, managing various programs and projects while ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions. This role involves budget management for IT funded projects, leading cross-functional teams, and maintaining relationships with vendors and stakeholders to achieve corporate objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership on various programs and projects.
• Manages project scope, team development, and execution across business and IT areas.
• Determines project management delivery style based on methodologies available.
• Interfaces with global counterparts to review solution design and facilitate best practices.
• Leads cross-functional project teams and holds regular status meetings.
• Manages vendor relationships and contingent workers on a project basis.
• Participates in preparation of plans and budgets for programs and projects.
• Reports to management on project progress and status.
• Develops monthly key project dashboards for review with AVANGRID CIO.
• Responsible for innovation targets within Global IT and Avangrid.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 7 years of relevant experience in project management.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Suite.
• Certification for Project/Program management (preferred).
• Experience with AGILE methodology (preferred).
• 3-5 years of IT work experience, preferably with AGILE project management.
• Strong service delivery experience within IT.
• Experience in leading projects and teams.
• Knowledge of IT design and architecture.
• Management skills including staff development and budget management.
