Full-time - Mid Level
San Jose, CA
Machinery Manufacturing

About the position

ASML US brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world's leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, the Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon. This position is for a Technical Project Manager in the Scanning Electron Microscope Department to lead a very enthusiastic team across departments, to deliver a full Function towards the Product Management. As a Technical Project Manager in the SEM Department, you will motivate the team to push the envelope, quality, and sense of urgency with the right balance. You will have an excellent understanding of the product development flow and the capability to take high-level requirements and map them into the appropriate development team resources to ensure successful delivery per top-level program plan. Keeping the team focused and motivated throughout the development cycle is crucial, as is the ability to create and maintain a project plan for the development team. You will also manage the outsourcing of development activities at co-developers and have experience in project management of complex engineering systems, with a proven record for product delivery. Your role will require a system understanding of multiple projects (both hardware and software) happening around and acting on dependencies. A good process background is essential, and while a project management certification is a plus, it is not a must. You will need the ability to understand systems specifications, test specifications, and reports, along with an ownership mentality and a desire to deliver top quality at the right cost, first time right. Being highly motivated and having a desire to solve problems and succeed is key, as well as possessing good written and oral communication skills to provide project planning with sound technical trade-off arguments. You will lead a project team of 5-20 engineers in a multi-discipline, multi-cultural high-technology environment.
