About the position

The Technical Project Manager at Climeworks is responsible for leading and coordinating technical deliverables related to civil, structural, and architectural work packages for Direct Air Capture (DAC) plants. This role involves managing project activities, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving collaboration within a cross-functional engineering team. The position requires effective management of technical deliverables, risk mitigation, cost estimation, and compliance with project requirements, all while aligning with Climeworks' strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate technical deliverables for civil, structural, and architectural work packages.
  • Manage activities of DAC 1st generation products, ensuring client satisfaction with technical assistance and warranty services.
  • Oversee technical project interfaces and track actions to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Manage technical deliverables, work packages, and activities for engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and commissioning.
  • Prepare and present monthly project engineering reports.
  • Ensure appropriate technical scope, risk mitigation, cost estimates, and schedule controls are in place.
  • Conduct audits and ensure findings are addressed in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • At least 8 years of project engineering or management experience in civil, structural, and architectural work packages.
  • Experience in an EPC environment and knowledge of process engineering industries (refining, chemical, petrochemical, or renewables).
  • Proven understanding of project management principles and best practices.
  • Experience managing large-scale process industry projects over USD$300MM.
  • Ability to manage external client contractual relationships.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
