About the position

The Technical Project Manager at Karsun Solutions is responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of the full project lifecycle, ensuring that projects meet customer requirements and are delivered on time and within budget. This role involves managing diverse technical teams, facilitating communication with stakeholders, and utilizing both Agile and waterfall methodologies to drive project success. The position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to innovate while maintaining integrity and exceeding client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute the full project lifecycle from definition to close out.
  • Develop plans and schedules to meet customer requirements.
  • Track project budgets and actual costs.
  • Provide guidance to the project team and interact directly with customers, product owners, and users.
  • Manage development projects utilizing Agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Conduct project planning, risk assessment, and resource management.
  • Estimate and monitor costs, identifying impacts on cost, schedule, quality, and performance.
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize team work tasks.
  • Communicate and collaborate across organizational boundaries.
  • Assess customer requirements and develop responsive project plans.
  • Conduct performance planning and assessments for direct reports.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience leading diverse technical teams.
  • 5 years of experience managing development projects and ongoing sustainment efforts.
  • Experience facilitating reviews with government customers to validate requirements.
  • Ability to manage budgets, plans, teams, and complex time-sensitive deliverables.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Business Systems, Management Information Systems, IT Management, or a related IT degree.

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
  • Professional level Agile certification.
  • Experience as a Scrum Master or Scrum Master Certification.
  • Ability to shift between waterfall, agile, and DevOps methodologies.
