About the position

The Technical Project Manager at Rigid Security will lead the end-to-end project lifecycle for security system installations, ensuring high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction. This role involves managing project plans, timelines, and budgets while collaborating with design teams and overseeing installation processes. The position requires strong technical knowledge of security systems and excellent project management skills to deliver customized security solutions across various sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle for security system installations, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and fire alarms.
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets; monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
  • Collaborate with the design team to create technical schematics and system layouts that meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Oversee installation teams, coordinating schedules, materials, and resources for maximum efficiency.
  • Conduct site surveys and evaluate project feasibility, recommending technical solutions tailored to each client's needs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure that installations comply with regulatory standards and Rigid Security's quality expectations.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively resolving issues to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management within the security, electrical, or low-voltage industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and fire alarms.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, team members, and vendors.
  • RTPM or similar project management certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work on-site at client locations, with occasional travel required.
