About the position

World Wide Technology (WWT) is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our Government Services team within the Public Sector. This role is crucial as it involves serving as the Technical Project Manager for a classified Intelligence Community Managed Service Provider (MSP) that focuses on cloud, collaboration, desktop, and network systems and services. The MSP provides services to over 150 Industry Partners at 400 subscriber locations nationwide. The primary focus of the assigned projects will be to ensure the timely delivery of technical solutions that meet government cyber security compliance requirements. Additional projects may be assigned to support MSP services within the Programs service portfolio. The position is based in Chantilly, VA, and requires a TS/SCI CI Poly clearance. In this role, you will manage the implementation of MSP security priorities, which include infrastructure upgrades and the introduction of new technical capabilities necessary for maintaining cyber security compliance. You will coordinate with the Program Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), MSP partners, and government stakeholders to determine the scope, impact, and priority of required solutions. Your responsibilities will also include identifying and managing project resources to meet timelines, developing Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROMs) to assess budget impacts, and coordinating Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) with project stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring that Change and Configuration Management processes are executed to document changes to the Program baseline, tracking risks, concerns, and dependencies associated with the projects, and developing, managing, and maintaining detailed project schedules and implementation plans. Regular project status updates will be provided to various Program and government stakeholders, and you will monitor progress and adjust priorities as necessary. Additionally, you will measure project performance to identify areas for improvement and conduct lessons learned to enhance future project outcomes. Your role may also involve providing additional Program support as required to ensure overall Program success.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of technical project management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or 10+ years of technical project management experience
  • Understanding financial processes to support informed decision-making
  • Ability to work independently and aggressively track to project timelines
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation skills as well as meeting facilitation
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Intermediate level experience in Microsoft Project
  • Experience working within the constraints of Federal policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Active Top-Secret SCI clearance with CI Polygraph

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP or similar project management certification(s)
  • CISSP or other DoD Directive 8570.1 certifications
  • Experience in managing projects encompassing Cloud or Network solutions
  • Understanding of Government customers Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ITSM processes
