About the position

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to oversee infrastructure projects in the manufacturing industry. This long-term contract role involves managing both onshore and offshore teams, utilizing IT project management skills to ensure successful project execution and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Take charge of technical projects within a budget range, ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
  • Collaborate with teams located in various geographical locations, including Europe.
  • Implement the project management methodology of your preference, be it agile/scrum or waterfall.
  • Work in Eastern Standard Time, with the possibility of occasional travel to Canada.
  • Lead a team size of approximately 10-15 people, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • Leverage your experience with carve-out projects to guide the team in setting up infrastructure after acquisitions.
  • Hold the responsibility of ensuring the project's successful execution and delivery within the agreed timelines.
  • Utilize your PMP certification to apply best project management practices.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in managing Infrastructure Projects
  • Proven expertise in IT project management
  • Possess a bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on providing practical technical solutions
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and systems
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in project management software tools
  • Familiarity with industry-specific software and hardware
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Adept at conducting technical research and producing detailed reports
  • Capacity to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements
  • Detail oriented certifications in project management (like PMP) would be a plus.
