About the position

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for the initial planning, documentation, and coordination of data center infrastructure projects, focusing on designing and building out data center white space. This role blends technical expertise with project management skills to ensure comprehensive project documentation and a smooth transition to execution.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
• Identify key project milestones and dependencies.
• Create and manage detailed project documents such as Project Scope Document, Work Breakdown Structure, and Risk Management Plan.
• Conduct formal handoff meetings with the Project Manager and stakeholders.
• Review documentation to ensure it meets required standards and industry best practices.
• Gather feedback post-project handoff to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7-10 years of experience in project management, particularly in data center projects.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana).
• Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple project aspects.
• Experience managing project budgets and financial forecasting.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
• Familiarity with structured cabling and rack & stack processes.
