About the position

Guidehouse is seeking a skilled technical project manager to support a federal Chief Information Officer (CIO) in enhancing operations and project delivery across various initiatives and systems. The role involves leading and executing projects, establishing roadmaps, and communicating with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, providing significant visibility into the client's organization and contributing to strategic growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of strategic plans, roadmaps, and project plans.
  • Provide insights to clients to help establish project priorities, resources, and timelines.
  • Initiate, execute, and close out projects of varying scope, size, and complexity.
  • Source and evaluate customer requirements.
  • Track the delivery of key initiatives and enable success.
  • Identify and escalate project risks using technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with agency leaders, vendors, and contracting teams.
  • Manage and monitor data calls from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create and report briefings to client leadership.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust clearance, and upgrade to a Top Secret clearance.
  • Five or more years of experience supporting technology projects, with at least two years in a lead role.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience managing or supporting technical projects, escalating risks, and managing schedules.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with enterprise systems and deployments (e.g., IT Service Management, Change Requests, Business Analysis).

Nice-to-haves

  • An active and maintained Top Secret Federal or DoD security clearance.
  • Consulting experience, particularly in federal government consulting.
  • Knowledge of scrum and other agile methodologies.
  • Certifications in business (e.g., ITIL), technical (e.g., MCSE), and security (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+).
