About the position

The Technical Project Manager at STACK Infrastructure is responsible for leading IT and OT projects across various domains, including end-user computing, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and networking. This role involves managing the project lifecycle, aligning projects with business strategies, and ensuring timely and budget-compliant project completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present updates to IT leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead IT and OT projects through the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure.
  • Develop project plans and establish baselines.
  • Monitor and track project status, milestones, tasks, and financial budget against established baselines.
  • Identify critical paths, risks, and corresponding mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify requirements, scope, financial budget, and monthly forecasts.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts, reviewing and monitoring vendor performance.
  • Update project schedules in Smartsheet weekly and report project milestone status, budget, issues, and risks weekly to IT leadership.
  • Conduct contract management and verify scope, requirements, and durations outlined in contracts.
  • Perform monthly resource planning and report any workload and resource issues promptly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of technical project management experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies and industry best practices.
  • Proficient in Smartsheet or MS Project.
  • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines.
  • Good stakeholder management and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in IT or OT are a plus.
  • Experience working at a data center company is a plus.
