About the position

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for overseeing large, complex projects within the Hyperscale Data Center industry, focusing on information technology and quality improvement. This role requires strong communication, organization, and critical thinking skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. The TPM will work closely with customers to understand their needs and translate them into actionable requirements for the software development team, ensuring successful project delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with end customer representatives to understand their organization and translate requirements for the internal software development team.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned products/projects, capable of performing demonstrations and explaining features and benefits.
  • Engage actively in the software development lifecycle, performing quality assurance activities to ensure quality product delivery.
  • Manage all aspects of projects with direct accountability, including project budget, task dependencies, and schedule.
  • Develop and lead the project team to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Build and manage multi-functional collaborative project teams.
  • Coordinate activities of multi-functional teams and manage scope, risk, and issue management.
  • Develop, initiate, and manage a communication plan, including regular project status reports.
  • Deliver integration, training, and implementation plans and activities.
  • Manage stakeholders and multiple project teams within a single project context.
  • Develop root cause analyses and process improvement plans.
  • Identify and document organizational, application, and human workflows contributing to policy and procedure updates.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership, management, and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Ability to translate conceptual thinking into project definitions and requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects with multiple project teams and product development lifecycle.
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage time, and respond effectively to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in assessing and mitigating risks.
  • Working familiarity with MS Office 365.
  • Experience driving the development of system software solutions to client objectives.
  • Education and experience with Project Management methodology based on Project Management principles.
  • Knowledge of the Data Center and/or Telecommunications industry.
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycles.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean preferred.
