About the position

The position is responsible for supporting technical projects across IT security, help desk operations, and executive support at Hugo Enterprises. The role ensures that projects adhere to best practices, timelines, and budgets while facilitating communication between technical teams, stakeholders, and the Director of Technology. It requires strong IT knowledge, project management expertise, and exceptional communication skills, along with a keen attention to detail and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technical projects spanning IT security, help desk improvements, and executive support initiatives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budget, and schedule, and track projects from inception to completion using standard project management tools.
  • Coordinate with the Director of Technology to ensure all projects adhere to security best practices and are executed efficiently and on schedule.
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external resources, if any, to ensure seamless coordination and execution of each approved project.
  • Establish project management processes and documentation standards.
  • Document all project goals, roadmaps, project plans, and risk factors and regularly report project status to the executive Director of IT Systems.
  • Track and manage project budgets effectively.

Requirements

  • Excellent understanding of IT security principles, technologies, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with help desk operations, including ticketing systems and escalation procedures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve project-related issues.
  • Capacity to anticipate potential problems and devise contingency plans.
  • Skill in optimizing resource allocations to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Experience managing project budgets and ensuring projects stay within financial constraints.
  • Understanding the needs and concerns of both internal and external stakeholders and being responsive to them.
  • Excellent communication skills to ensure transparency and rapid progress across distributed teams and locations.
  • BA, BS or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, with a focus on IT projects.
  • Proven track record of managing IT projects.
  • Outstanding customer service orientation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • ITIL or PMI certification preferred
