About the position

Peraton is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our Network and Unified Communications Architecture team in Alexandria, VA. This team is responsible for providing IT hardware and software solutions that support the goals of our contracts, including performance-based C4IM services, product support, and operations and maintenance (O&M) for both legacy and newly installed systems. As the prime contractor for the network contract since 1984, Peraton delivers reliable security voice, video, and fax communications for government leaders, ensuring they have access to high-performance communications networks for crisis management in any environment. Our secure, worldwide communications network operates over a dedicated IP backbone, providing real-time interactive applications for complex national and worldwide executive-level communications. In this role, the Technical Project Manager will be responsible for planning, integrating, and documenting installations of voice and video systems that support government Command and Control (C2) conference rooms and video-teleconferencing endpoints. The position requires initiating, planning, monitoring, controlling, and reporting on a variety of small and mid-level IT projects. The Technical Project Manager must possess a comprehensive understanding of advanced multi-level audio/video conference room design, software, networking, information assurance, and cybersecurity. Key responsibilities include directing and supervising all support resources for project assignments related to conference room installations, network upgrades, server deployments, application upgrades, and lifecycle replacements of IT product lines. The Technical Project Manager will supervise individual contributors in technical positions, coordinate and provide leadership to assigned staff, and ensure adherence to quality standards while reviewing project deliverables. This role serves as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, managing all aspects from concept through final implementation, and interfacing with all areas affected by the project, including integration teams, end users, and key program management stakeholders. The position is approved for hybrid support, allowing for occasional telework, and may require up to 10% travel based on customer needs.
