About the position

The Technical Project Manager at McLane Company is responsible for providing technical oversight and support for various projects, ensuring they meet business requirements within allocated time and budget. This role involves managing day-to-day project activities, client interactions, and maintaining project documentation while adhering to McLane's methodologies and standards. The position is hybrid, requiring in-office work three days a week, and is focused on delivering superior customer experiences through effective project management.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and manage one or more projects, including day-to-day activities and project team scope.
  • Conduct regular status meetings and manage resource requests and individual responsibilities.
  • Review status reports, address issues, and create and execute project work plans.
  • Track team hours and manage project budgets while applying McLane's methodology.
  • Manage client interactions, including expectation setting and relationship management.
  • Define and maintain project scope and write detailed specifications for applications.
  • Resolve and escalate issues in a timely manner and consult with users to ensure adherence to methodology.
  • Develop and test solutions, validate system-testing processes, and create implementation documentation.
  • Maintain accurate information in the project tracking system and provide timely reporting.
  • Support aligned applications by collaborating with other project managers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.
  • 4-5 years of broad-based experience in specific and related disciplines of the business.
  • 3 years of professional experience in IT project management and/or web applications development preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with multiple development tools and environments.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred.
  • Experience in Agile project management preferred.
