As a Technical Project Manager, you will manage engineering projects from product introduction through prove out acceptance, ensuring that schedule targets and budgets are achieved. This includes overseeing New Product Introduction, Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Part Number Rolls, and Verus Aerospace Engineering Projects (VAEP) activities. You will monitor daily operations to identify and resolve issues with the support of other department personnel as required. Close collaboration with customers will be essential to coordinate actions and drive technical assistance requests to completion. You will also be responsible for tracking and analyzing project results, maintaining communication, visibility, and close coordination with program managers, customers, and supplier representatives. Your essential duties will include monitoring the transition schedule daily to ensure key milestones are on target, coordinating and reporting the internal recovery schedule to ensure on-time delivery to customers, and tracking and facilitating activities to resolve technical customer support requests. You will direct internal and customer communication, including written correspondence and teleconferences, to provide timely resolution of technical customer support requests. Additionally, you will develop, implement, and track additional projects as assigned, including VAEP, Part Number Rolls, and ECRs.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of contracts terms and conditions.
  • Demonstrated effective root cause analysis and problem solving for technically complex issues.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MRP/ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Project is required.
  • Ability to facilitate consensus decision-making and cross-functional team support.
