About the position

Guidehouse is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support a federal Chief Information Officer (CIO) in enhancing operations and project delivery across various initiatives and systems. The role involves leading and executing projects, establishing roadmaps, tracking key statuses, and communicating with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. This position offers significant visibility within the client's organization and is part of a strategic growth area for the team.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the development of strategic plans, roadmaps, and project plans
  • Providing insights to clients to help establish their projects' priorities, resources, and timelines
  • Initiating, executing, and closing out projects of varying scope, size, and complexity
  • Sourcing and evaluating customer requirements
  • Tracking the delivery of key initiatives and enabling success
  • Identifying and escalating project risks using technical expertise
  • Collaborating with agency leaders, vendors, and contracting teams
  • Managing and monitoring data calls from internal and external stakeholders
  • Creating and reporting briefings to client leadership

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Public Trust
  • Five or more years of experience supporting technology projects with at least two years in a lead role
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience managing or supporting technical projects, escalating risks, and managing schedules
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with enterprise systems and deployments (e.g. IT Service Management, Change Requests, and/or Business Analysis)

Nice-to-haves

  • An active and maintained Top Secret Federal or DoD security clearance
  • Consulting experience, particularly in federal government consulting
  • Knowledgeable in scrum and other agile methodologies
  • Certifications in business (e.g. ITIL), technical (e.g. MCSE), and security (e.g. CISSP, CompTIA Security+)
