About the position

The Technical Project Manager role at a Boston-based pharmaceutical client is a 6-month contract position requiring local candidates. The role focuses on leading projects related to the Azure Cloud Platform, collaborating with various stakeholders to clarify business requirements, and guiding technical staff in optimizing data processes. The position emphasizes both technical and business skills, particularly in the commercial area, and involves working closely with local IT partners and a global IT team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead small-to-mid-size projects to scope, design, and implement solutions for US-based needs.
  • Gather local requirements and document them to facilitate implementation of requested changes or propose new solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions using Microsoft Azure, Data Factory, Python, Terraform, GitHub, PowerBI, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Identify and facilitate local issues to provide appropriate solutions.
  • Maintain the data ecosystem in an optimal operational state, following established standards and processes with a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure security, privacy, and compliance of data and processes in a highly regulated environment.
  • Collaborate and influence in a cross-functional global environment.
  • Stay current with and leverage the latest data technologies and concepts, contributing to stakeholder roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Preference for cloud certifications, especially Azure or Google Cloud Certifications.
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
  • Technical experience with SQL, Informatica, Data Quality and Data Cataloging, MDM, Databricks, and Terraform is preferred.
  • Helpful to have experience with R, Python, SAS programming, Linux, and Kubernetes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Math, or a related discipline.
