About the position

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and driving the delivery of projects that provide exceptional business value to users. This role involves organizing project activities, identifying risks, and effectively communicating with stakeholders. The position collaborates closely with upper management to ensure projects are on schedule and aligns with organizational objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage projects from conception through completion to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Track project against plan, anticipate events which may require contingency plans, recommend corrective action, and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed.
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of program status throughout its life cycle.
  • Determine resource involvement needed to complete the project and allocate resources as needed.
  • Translate the high-level organizational objectives into definable project scopes while focusing on regular and timely delivery to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluate technical feasibility alongside user experience, making informed decisions to drive successful outcomes.
  • Contribute to Controls roadmap and product backlog grooming.
  • Define and manage the project management processes, implement best practices, and champion ongoing process improvement.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including conveying technical information to technical and non-technical users.
  • Participate in various Controls release efforts including release note and release demo presentation.
  • Maintain documentation on knowledge base, project management processes and best practices, providing regular updates on project progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology (IT), Business Management, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience managing projects using formal project management disciplines and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and processes.
  • Experienced in Agile project management methodologies and tools (agile, scrum, Kanban, waterfall, DevOps, Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience managing projects involving both software and hardware in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Atlassian product (Jira, Confluence) required.
  • PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree a plus.
  • CSM or A-CSM certification is a plus.
