About the position

The Technical Project Manager at ARServices will oversee program management and provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) for research and development programs within the Department of Defense (DoD). This role involves developing program plans, acquisition strategies, and procurement documents while ensuring compliance with DoD directives. The position requires a strong background in program management, particularly in the context of defense acquisition and research and development, to effectively support project execution and long-range planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide program management Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) for research and development programs.
• Develop program plans, acquisition strategies, and procurement documents.
• Support the design of programs to meet capability gaps.
• Develop and monitor program plans for assigned projects.
• Prepare and maintain program management execution reports.
• Author correspondence and program briefings.
• Support overall management of R&D projects related to cost, schedule, and performance.
• Provide general programmatic advice regarding research and development plans and execution.
• Support long-range planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in management, business, or engineering.
• At least 5-7 years' experience in DoD program planning and program management across the Defense Acquisition Life Cycle.
• At least 5-7 years' experience in DoD Research, Development, Testing and Evaluation management.
• Experience with DoD acquisition methods.
• Experience with DoD PPBE experience.
• Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) mission or technical knowledge.
• Analytical Research experience (assessing threats and market research).

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in management, business, science or engineering.
• Previous certification as DoD acquisition professional.
• Membership in DOD Acquisition Corps.
• Certified Project Management Professional.
• DoD weapons development, test and evaluation experience.
• Experience in Counter-Weapons of Mass Destruction (C-WMD) R&D.
• Previous experience at Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
