About the position

The position involves managing projects at Verizon, ensuring they are delivered on-time and on-budget. The role requires collaboration with Product and Engineering teams to oversee multiple deliverables, facilitate scrum events, and drive process improvements. The ideal candidate will be skilled in project management and communication, helping teams achieve their goals in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with assigned teams to understand product definitions and feature scope, develop project timelines, and communicate commitments and project-related decisions.
• Facilitating scrum events, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives and helping with release management activities.
• Summarizing project information into easy to understand communications that keep everyone in the loop and on track.
• Driving process improvements and adopting best practices to improve team performance.

Requirements

• Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
• Experience as a Scrum Master, Project Leader and/or Project/Program Manager.
• Experience in Software Engineering.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree or higher.
