About the position

The Technical Project Manager at Verizon plays a crucial role in delivering projects on-time and on-budget, driving innovation for customers. This position involves close collaboration with Product and Engineering teams to manage multiple deliverables, assign responsibilities, and set goals to maintain project momentum. The role requires excellent communication skills to summarize project information and facilitate scrum events, ensuring that all team members are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with assigned teams to understand product definitions and feature scope, develop project timelines, and communicate commitments and project-related decisions.
• Facilitating scrum events, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives and help with release management activities.
• Summarizing project information into easy to understand communications that keep everyone in the loop and on track.
• Driving process improvements and adopting best practices to improve team performance.

Requirements

• Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
• Experience as a Scrum Master, Project Leader and/or Project/Program Manager.
• Experience in Software Engineering.
