About the position

The position involves managing the implementation of Managed Service Provider (MSP) security priorities, which includes overseeing infrastructure upgrades and the introduction of new technical capabilities necessary for maintaining compliance with cybersecurity standards. The role requires close coordination with the Program Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), MSP partners, and government stakeholders to assess the scope, impact, and priority of required solutions. This entails identifying and managing project resources effectively to meet established timelines, as well as developing Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROMs) to evaluate budget impacts based on the defined scope of work, resources, and technical requirements to secure program funding. In addition to project management, the role includes coordinating and conducting Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) with project stakeholders and resources to ensure alignment and clarity on project objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing Change and Configuration Management processes to document any changes to the Program baseline, tracking risks, concerns, and dependencies associated with the projects. Developing, managing, and maintaining detailed project schedules and implementation plans is crucial, as is providing regular project status updates to various Program and government stakeholders. Monitoring progress and adjusting priorities as necessary will be part of the daily responsibilities, along with measuring project performance to identify areas for improvement and conducting lessons learned sessions. The role may also require additional program support as needed to ensure the overall success of the Program.

Responsibilities

  • Manage implementation of MSP security priorities to include infrastructure upgrades and new technical capabilities required to maintain cyber security compliance
  • Coordinate with Program Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), MSP partners, and government stakeholders to determine scope, impact, and priority of required solutions
  • Identify and manage project resources to meet project timelines
  • Develop Rough Order of Magnitudes (ROMs) to identify budget impacts based on scope of work, resources, and technical requirements to request Program funding
  • Coordinate and conduct Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) with project stakeholders and resources
  • Ensure Change and Configuration Management processes are executed in support of projects to document changes to the Program baseline
  • Track risks, concerns, and dependencies associated with the projects
  • Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project schedules and implementation plans
  • Provide project status updates to various Program and government stakeholders
  • Monitor progress and adjust priorities as required
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement and conduct lessons learned
  • Additional Program support as required: Assist where needed to keep the overall Program successful

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of technical project management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or 10+ years of technical project management experience
  • Understanding financial processes to be able to support informed decision-making. Able to track customer defined metrics, forecast future trends, and manage changes
  • Ability to work independently and aggressively track to project timelines
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities
  • Excellent communication including written, verbal, and presentation skills as well as meeting facilitation
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Intermediate level experience in Microsoft Project
  • Experience working within the constraints of Federal policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Active Top-Secret SCI clearance with CI Polygraph

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP or similar project management certification(s)
  • CISSP or other DoD Directive 8570.1 certifications
  • Experience in managing projects encompassing Cloud or Network solutions
  • Understanding of Government customers Risk Management Framework (RMF) and ITSM processes
