About the position

Zeno Power is seeking a highly motivated Technical Project Manager to support the development and market introduction of Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS) technologies. This role involves initiating project management frameworks, coordinating schedules and costs, and ensuring project performance aligns with established baselines. The Technical Project Manager will play a crucial role in managing multi-year projects, collaborating with various stakeholders, and providing technical input on hardware design decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate project management framework and architecture for RPS projects.
  • Coordinate multi-year schedule and cost inputs from stakeholders, including government agencies and contractors.
  • Ensure sound project management methodology is applied for control of the projects by implementing and enforcing baseline schedules and costs.
  • Manage, evaluate, and make recommendations to the VP of Engineering for proposed schedule and cost baseline change control requests.
  • Monitor and ensure performance meets baseline schedule and cost requirements.
  • Support procurement activities including document development, acquisition, execution, and contract close out.
  • Provide high-level technical input and recommendations on key hardware design decisions.
  • Assist with the development and refinement of project management best practices, policies, and procedures.

Requirements

  • B.S. or higher in an engineering discipline from an accredited university with over 6 years of engineering management or project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing schedules and costs in an aerospace or nuclear environment.
  • Strong understanding of baseline change control and configuration management.
  • Project Management Professional certification is desired.
  • Experience with MS Project or equivalent schedule management software is required.
  • Experience with Atlassian product suite (i.e., Confluence and Jira) is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing a first-of-a-kind or engineering design project is strongly preferred.
  • Self-starter with the ability to coordinate and lead a project management effort with minimal direction.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure in an uncertain environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
