About the position

The Technical Project Manager at Synertech Automation, LLC is responsible for coordinating both internal and external resources to meet contractual project requirements. This role involves communication with customers regarding scheduling and equipment needs, as well as overseeing specific job sections or sub-sections as assigned by management. The position requires maintaining budgets, meeting milestone dates, and preparing various project-related documents.

Responsibilities

  • Provide equipment estimates and maintain job section budgets and margins.
  • Meet job section milestone dates.
  • Maintain project manager checklists for a moderate number of job sections.
  • Review project estimates and details of purchase orders and contracts.
  • Review technical specifications.
  • Prepare job review materials and post job review documentation.
  • Coordinate vendor activities to support project objectives.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing team on key buying issues.
  • Prepare Factory Acceptance Test criteria documents.
  • Act as the lead contact with the customer for job section schedules, requirements, and shipments.
  • Update management weekly on the status and progress of each job.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience, including internships or equivalent work.
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, and other Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to complete customer visits as needed.
  • Dedicated to seeing a project through to completion.
  • Ability to work well with others and manage competing requirements efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to listen and integrate instructions.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Basic algebraic math skills.
  • Ability to read and understand Engineering Specifications and Drawings.

Nice-to-haves

  • Mechanical engineering education or experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Design, Project Management, or relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, or Solidworks.
  • Intermediate math skills, including trigonometry and geometry.
